LiAngelo Ball is having an incredible day. Early Tuesday afternoon, the middle Ball brother officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft. Just hours later, Gelo put up a whopping 72 points for his Lithuanian club, Vytautas Prienu.
Ball and company were taking on the Guangdong Southern Tigers (China) youth team, when he exploded for 72 points and 11 rebounds.
Vytautas went on to score a 159-115 win.
Younger brother LaMelo added 36 points, while their father, Big Baller Brand patriarch LaVar Ball, served as head coach.
Of course, it’s important to remember that this was a Big Baller Brand Challenge exhibition game against a youth team, and not a contest against a senior squad in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL). Vytautas fielded its full senior squad.
Here are the highlights from the former UCLA freshman’s 72-point performance in the big win:

Entering the game, Ball averaged 23.8 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 40.4 percent from three-point range. Those statistics include his minutes in the Big Baller Brand Challenge, which featured games against lower-tier teams. In official LKL games, Ball averaged 15.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in just 25 mins per game.
The 2018 NBA Draft will take place June 21 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
