A new week kicks off with Monday, Aug. 6 as we near closer to the start of the college football season. College life can be busy, so at times it can be tough to keep up with the daily news cycle. Boston College football coach Steve Addazio is speaking out about the Zach Smith situation. After the wide receivers coach was fired by Ohio State when domestic violence allegations surfaced, Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer said that he had no previous knowledge. That led to trouble when college football writer Brett McMurphy unveiled a bombshell that claims Meyer had known of the allegations.
College football is almost upon us, and it’s going to be an incredible year. As we all know, every game can have massive implications for the playoffs. Some of these games are built up during the year, as an emerging powerhouse takes on the conference juggernaut. But others, you know are going to be a massive game, like the Iron Bowl. You hear us saying time and time again that the Pac-12 is always delivering. That is the case once again with Blakely Smith, a student at Arizona State who aims to be a future attorney. She’s currently a — you guessed it! — model, with a rapidly growing following on Instagram.
If you’re a fan of Tekken 7, Sunday was a great day. We got to witness the Top 8 at EVO 2018 play out, which included a top three run from American legend Terrelle “Lil Majin” Jackson. The day also included announcements about new DLC for the game which will be bringing a taste of the AMC hit show The Walking Dead to the Tekken universe.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were enjoying a beautiful vacation in Bali, but that was interrupted early Sunday when a 6.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the area. Three people were killed in the earthquake which struck 50 miles east of Bali. Despite being 50 miles away, the tremors rocked the area where Teigen was staying.

Hey everyone, Christi here from @BazaarLazarr swooping into your feed on Saturday night with something that’s simply spectacular for Sunday! ☀️🌴😎We’ve already established my love for meat on a stick, and that 100% extends to shrimp! 💃🏻🎉These are fresh, light, and perfect for your August Whole30!💁🏻 # Marinated Chili Lime Shrimp Skewers # Ingredients: 25 Large Shrimp, peeled and deveined ½ cup garlic infused olive oil (regular olive oil will due, just add 2 more large cloves of crushed garlic) ¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice 2 tbsp. chili powder 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 tbsp. ginger, chopped ½ tsp. red chili flakes 5 wooden skewers, soaked Limes for serving # Instructions: Mix your olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic cloves, ginger, and red chili flakes in a lidded container large enough to fit your shrimp. Add in shrimp, cover container, and shake it so that the shrimp get coated in the marinade. Refrigerate for a minimum or two hours. # Prepare your grill (I used a grill pan) by oiling your grill gate and setting it to medium heat. Add 5 shrimp to each skewer, and once your grill is hot, add the skewers and cook for 1 minute and then flip and cook for an additional minute or until shrimp are cooked through! # I’ll be back in the morning for our last day together.
