It’s Woman Crush Wednesday, which means it’s time to take a look at the college world and appreciate some of the standout students and/or athletes across the nation. Every week, we feature a college student that stands out among their peers. This week, we feature Paige Almendariz, a member of the UNLV soccer team.
Paige is set to enter her junior year with UNLV after joining the program out of West Sacramento Early/College Prep Charter School.
Last season, Paige played in 20 games with 12 starts and recorded two assists.
From her school bio:

High School: Only played club ball. Club: Played and trained with the Sacramento United Soccer Club starting in 2006…Participated on the NorCal PDP State Team in 2013-14…Selected to play in a friendly game against the Japanese U15 National Team in 2014 and Futures Match with the Sacramento Republic FC in 2015. Personal: Paige Noel Almendariz…Born in Sacramento, Calif…Daughter of Joy Almendariz…Has an older sister Brittney, a twin sister Macy and two younger sisters, Greta and Collette…Brittney and Macy are professional dancers with the Sacramento Ballet…Valedictorian of her school…An accomplished ballerina…Trained with the Crockett-Deane Ballet Company from 2011-16…Awarded multiple scholarships from professional ballet companies and universities…Undecided on a major.
