ESPN College GameDay is in South Bend, Indiana to kickoff the 2018 college football season with a Week 1 clash between the No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and No. 14 Michigan Wolverines.
Saturday marked the 29th appearance on College GameDay for Notre Dame and the 8th time they have hosted the pre-game show in South Bend. During the 29 appearances, the Fighting Irish have an underwhelming .429 win percentage with a record of 12-16. Michigan, meanwhile, was making its 28th appearance on GameDay with an overall record of 14-13.
Before the show even started, we knew it was going to be special with Lee Corso showing up in style.
Notre Dame and Michigan are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on NBC.
Ahead of the game between the Fighting Irish and Wolverines, the College GameDay crew — joined by country music sensation Luke Bryan, who was serving as the guest picker — went through their weekly picks before it came down to Lee Corso and his headgear pick.
When it came time to unveil his choice for today’s big game, who did Corso roll with?
