The 2018 college football season kicked into full swing on Saturday, Sept. 1 with a busy week of marquee matchups across the nation. For the opening weekend of the season, ESPN’s College GameDay headed to South Bend for a clash between Notre Dame and Michigan. In Week 2, a meeting between the Texas A&M Aggies and Clemson Tigers headlined the schedule. It was then a top 15 clash between TCU and Ohio State in Fort Worth, before a Week 4 meeting between Pac-12 foes Stanford and Oregon.
Now, it’s time for another top ten battle.
The GameDay crew — which features Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack, and Maria Taylor — will be hosting the show from Happy Valley ahead of the game between undefeated Big Ten juggernauts Penn State and Ohio State.
“YOU READY, HAPPY VALLEY? We’re coming to your city for Ohio State vs. Penn State,” the official College GameDay Twitter account wrote.

Ohio State will be making its 42nd College GameDay appearance — tying Alabama for the most appearances in the show’s history — with an overall record of 28-13 when appearing on the show, allowing the Buckeyes to hold the most victories for schools appearing on College GameDay in the show’s history.
Kickoff between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
