Will Alabama Miss The College Football Playoff?

The Alabama Crimson Tide have been atop the college football world for the entire season; and, quite honestly, for the past few seasons. But could the team be in jeopardy of missing out on the College Football Playoff. The sad reality of the situation for Alabama is yes.
According to ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit, the Crimson Tide could be on the outs if they suffer a loss in the Iron Bowl or SEC Championship.
“I need an hour here to (discuss) the scenarios and all the games,” Herbstreit said, via 247 Sports. “Let’s say Clemson wins and Notre Dame wins out, it could come down to a debate between more than likely Michigan and Alabama. The committee would have o take into consideration where Alabama has been all year, to be candid.
“I think there’s too many good teams right now hovering around that Top 4. I think it would very hard if Michigan, Clemson and Notre Dame were to win and Georgia were to beat Alabama, I wish I could make a case, but I think Alabama would be left out.”
Alabama faces Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday, November 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Following the penultimate game of the season, the Crimson Tide cap things off against No. 5 ranked Georgia in Atlanta on Saturday, December 1.
