College Sports News
The 2018-19 college basketball season is in full swing and on Monday, December 17 the Associated Press announced its latest AP Top 25 poll for Week 7. This week, Kansas, Duke, and Tennessee remain atop the poll. Defending national champion Villanova, meanwhile, has crashed out of the rankings.
Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly has picked up a national honor after leading the Fighting Irish to the College Football Playoff as the No. 3-ranked team in the nation. On Monday, December 17, the Associated Press announced that Kelly has been named the 2018 AP College Football Coach of the Year. Kelly becomes the third coach in history to win the award twice.
It’s not every day that you see a college football program participating in a gender reveal, but that is exactly what happened with the FIU Golden Panthers recently when special teams coordinator James Vollono asked for some assistance when it came to unveiling the newest addition to his family.
COED Girl of the Day
Today, we feature Gracyn Holloway, a student at Florida State University. Gracyn is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority on campus.
Cardi B is finally ready for her time in the passenger’s seat of “Carpool Karaoke.” The 26-year-old rap star is set to join James Corden for the popular segment on the Monday, December 17 episode of The Late Late Show. It has been a wild 2018 for Cardi B, who set a number of Billboard records and also was in headlines for a brief marriage to Migos rapper Offset, who she had a child with.
In today’s day and age, you have to be very careful about what you post on social media. Rising rap star Lil Pump didn’t seem to get that memo, however. Over the weekend, Pump took to social media to release a preview of a new song titled “Butterfly Doors.” Immediately, you hear his signature flow and a catchy beat, but a combination of the lyrics that came later and a gesture made by Lil Pump quickly had fans turning sour on the tune.
