Déjà vu. For the fourth consecutive year, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers will be meeting in the College Football Playoff. For the third time in those four meetings, the two teams will be battling it out for the national championship.

The Miami football program will have to begin a search for a new head coach. On Sunday, December 30, Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt sent a letter to athletic director Blake James and his players informing them that he has made the decision to step down from his position.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship wrapped up 2018 with UFC 232 on Saturday, December 29. Now, a new era is set to begin for the UFC when the new year rings in. ESPN is taking over broadcasting rights for the UFC, replacing FOX, and the promotion has promised big things.
