Chicago Bears mascot reacts to missed field goal

Brutal. That is the only way to describe the way the Chicago Bears’ 2018-19 season came to an end over the weekend.¬†After driving down the field trailing the Philadelphia Eagles 16-15, Bears kicker Cody Parkey had an opportunity to be the hero with less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock.

Unfortunately for him, things did not go as planned.

Parkey pushed the kick a little too far to the left and it clanked off the upright before falling and bouncing off the crossbar as well.

It was a truly heart-breaking moment for the Bears, Parkey, and their fans. But sorry, we have to take another look.

After the game, another video went viral that shows just how devastated the Chicago Bears faithful were.

Video of the Bears mascot, Staley Da Bear, shows the man reacting to Parkey’s miss by simply collapsing to the turf with his hands on his head. It was a reaction and image that every Bears fan can relate to after the way they were literally bounced from the playoffs.

While the Bears must now watch the remainder of the postseason from home, the Eagles are headed to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for a meeting with the New Orleans Saints. The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, hit the road to face the Los Angeles Rams with a shot at the NFC Championship Game on the line.

In the AFC, the No. 1 seed Kansas City Chiefs will welcome the No. 6 seed Indianapolis Colts to Arrowhead, while the No. 5 Los Angeles Chargers head to Foxboro for a meeting with Tom Brady and the No. 2 seed New England Patriots.
