That’s why we bring you Campus Connect, where you can catch the latest news in college sports and entertainment to keep on top of the buzz that everyone on campus will be talking about.

What happened last night? What events are coming up today? We have you covered with all of that and more.

Let’s dive right in.

College Sports News

The University of Southern California has decided to terminate Senior Associate Athletic Director Donna Heinel and water polo coach Jovan Vavic. The Daily Mail reported the changes to USC athletics department. This comes at a time where Heinel and Vavic were both accused of accepting bribes which allowed privileged students to be considered athletic recruits in order for them to be accepted into the school more easily.

Even in his absence, Duke Freshman Zion Williamson furthers his case for the No. 1 overall pick. Williamson recently was named Sporting News Player of the Year as well as Freshman of the Year. Many may wonder how a player can miss 16 percent of the team’s games and still win the prestigious award that Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, and most recently Jalen Brunson also received. However, its Zion’s absence that truly set him apart.

COED Girl of the Day

Today, we feature Yuval Tabib, a student at the University of South Carolina. Yuval has a budding social media following of more than 15,000 on Instagram.

Entertainment News

Jordan Peele is incredible at generating buzz for his films. His upcoming thriller is titled Us and has been generating buzz ever since its initial trailer released with a creepy rendition of Luniz’s “I Got 5 On It.” It is the follow-up to his hit film Get Out.

Olivia Jade Giannulli, a social media influencer who is the daughter of “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin, made some damning comments regarding her education at the University of Southern California. A video of Olivia’s comments regarding her USC schooling came after her mother was accused of paying $500,000 to commit fraud and ultimately land her daughter at USC.
