NFL Draft 2016: Texans looking at top QBs

It seems the Texans are looking at new quarterbacks. Reports say the Texans conducted interviews with Jared Goff, Christian Hackenberg, Paxton Lynch, Carson Wentz and Connor Cook at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, which is nearly every single worthy candidate for the position who was present.

Earlier, Texans owner Bob McNair expressed desire to draft some new talent, a sentiment echoed by head coach Bill O’Brien.

“There are a number of quarterbacks out there, college quarterbacks coming out and I think we have a good chance at getting one of them,” McNair said. Then, in response, O’Brien stated, “whatever McNair says, we’ll do.”

Officially confirming the Texans probability of drafting at least one quarterback in 2016.

However, the five potential quarterbacks only represent a fraction of the total interviews the Texans conducted recently. The Texans and O’Brien conducted 60 total interviews at the combine.

Regardless, the Texans seem to be gathering ample information on potential quarterback prospects.

The Texans pick No. 22 overall in the 2016 draft.
