Video: Braxton Miller runs sub-4.4 40 at Ohio State Pro Day

Ohio State wide receiver Braxton Miller may not have opened many eyes at the NFL Scouting Combine, but the exact opposite can be said for his performance at the Buckeyes’ Pro Day.

Per a series of tweets, including one key one from Miller’s former head coach Urban Meyer, the quarterback-turned-receiver ran the 40 yard dash in less than 4.4 seconds.

Keep in mind that these times are far from official, as hand-operated iPhones are far from 100 percent reliable.

But now consider that Miller ran the 40 in 4.50 seconds in Indianapolis last month and that was viewed as disappointing, especially considering how many heads he turned at the Senior Bowl in January. Now that he’s on his home turf and on his own schedule, well inside his comfort zone, perhaps that had something to do with his stronger performance?

Either way, one thing is certain: With the NFL Draft just a little over a month away, don’t be shocked if Braxton Miller is a name you hear thrown around regularly by teams in the market for a strong receiver, especially in the second or third rounds.
