Former Florida Gators star cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III had his Pro Day today and speaking to reporters afterward, said that he was “without a doubt” the best defensive back in this year’s NFL Draft.

Granted, there are a number of talented corners in this year’s draft class, namely Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey, but there’s no doubt that Hargreaves may be the best of them. Keep in mind that he’s a former five-star recruit and was an absolute star in three years with the Gators.
During his time in Gainesville, Hargreaves posted 121 tackles with an amazing 10 interceptions and 27 pass-breakups. By his junior season, opposing teams just stopped throwing towards him. As a result, Hargreaves has already drawn comparisons to another great shutdown corner in Darrelle Revis.
Thus, is Vernon Hargreaves III the most talented defensive back in the draft? Well, I guess we’ll find out come next month!
