The Alabama Crimson Tide had the number one recruiting class in 2016. That was mostly because of them picking up many five-star players, including linebacker Lyndell Wilson.
Wilson was expected to be a big part of their defense in the 2016 season and he still should be. However, Wilson announced on Wednesday that he would have to undergo surgery on a torn labrum in his shoulder, which would keep him out of action for three to four months.
Just found out my labrum was really torn today by Dr. Cain and it's been torned since the 10th grade. That should tell you some 💯 #Humbled

The Montgomery, Alabama native was the fourth-ranked outside linebacker in the country, the third-ranked player in the state of Alabama, and the 15th-ranked player in the country. He is certainly going to be a big part of their defense going forward.
Luckily for Lyndell Wilson, he found out about this injury now and not two or three months from now. He should be fully recovered by the beginning of the season and be able to play for the Crimson Tide on opening day.
The Crimson Tide open the 2016 season with USC at AT&T Stadium on September 3.
