Michigan Wolverines tight end Jake Butt opted to return for his senior season after a strong junior campaign, and took to Twitter today to lay some praise on his teammates who share his position on the field.
If one were to ask Butt, Michigan’s tight ends will be the best in the nation in 2016.
Truly believe this will be the best tight end unit in the country #wheresTJ pic.twitter.com/x7I9Upd2Pe

Butt had an excellent junior season, posting 51 catches for 654 yards and three touchdowns, and should have more help at that position with Khalid Hill and Ian Bunting set to take a step forward in 2016. With an excellent recruiting class also coming in, Michigan as a team should do quite well in 2016 after going 10-3 (6-2 Big Ten) and winning the Citrus Bowl in its first season under Jim Harbaugh.
And the tight end play is expected to be a big part of the Wolverines’ offense in 2016, meaning that Butt and whoever is playing alongside him on the other side will need to be spot on. With his leadership as strong as it is, however, count on Butt to make good on this tweet.
