It’s championship week in college football! There isn’t a full slate of games being played on Saturday, but there is still plenty at stake for teams taking the field. Every aspect of these football programs have to be on point to be victorious: the coaches, players, equipment managers and of course, the cheerleaders.
The end result of these matchups will decide which teams are selected to play in particular bowl games, and the first-ever College Football Playoff also needs to be settled. It’s pretty simple for three of the four teams currently in the top four — win and you’re in.
For Alabama, Oregon and Florida State, that’s all they have to do. The TCU Horned Frogs are currently making the Playoff, but there is a lot more riding on their game. They’re facing the 2-9 Iowa State Cyclones, which should be an easy victory, but it’ll get interesting if the Baylor Bears throttle the ninth-ranked Kansas State Wildcats.
TCU and Baylor are currently tied at the top of the Big XII standings and will be co-champions if they both win. Even though the Bears beat TCU in their only head-to-head matchup, it appears the Horned Frogs also control their own destiny.
If Baylor wants to have a chance at qualifying for the Playoff, they must win, along with one of the top four teams and fifth-ranked Ohio State losing this weekend.
Our friends at COED have simplified things for us — they’ve provided polls for the best games of the weekend, giving us the opportunity to vote on which teams have the better cheerleaders. Make sure you go vote so we can have one of these heated debates settled before kickoff on Saturday!
