Rejoice, media members, the Big 10 conference has tweaked the format for their annual media day event.
Rather than cramming every press conference into a one day event, the conference has decided to add a second day of press conferences for this year’s event in Chicago.
Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com passed along the news on Twitter.
Good news for B1G media members. Media day format adjusted this year: seven teams will appear July 30, other seven July 31. Less scrambling.

The Big Ten media day takes place on the same days as the Pac-12.
If this year’s event is a big hit, could we eventually see the conference continue to expand a la the SEC? The SEC currently holds their media day press conferences over four days to maximize the exposure for the conference, so it is something the Big Ten could consider.
At the very least, media members have to be excited that there will be less running around this year.
