The offensive line of the Oklahoma State Cowboys is going to be much stronger come the 2016 season.
Three-star offensive tackle Teven Jenkins, out of Kansas’s Topeka High School, announced on his personal Twitter page that he had committed to the Cowboys and he will bring some welcomed size and strength to the team’s offensive front at 6-foot-6, 295 pounds.

Jenkins had also received offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Louisville and Nebraska. He is the seventh member of the 2016 recruiting class to commit to Oklahoma State.
This isn’t to say that the Cowboys are in desperate need of offensive line help. The team ranked 25th in the nation in offensive efficiency in 2014, so head coach Mike Gundy is clearly doing something right. But the fact of the matter is that unlike some of its rivals in the Big 12, like Kansas State and TCU, Oklahoma State has never been a team known for having a mobile quarterback.
This makes pocket protection vitally important.
Jenkins won’t be asked to do that for another couple of years, but it’s a great get for the Cowboys just the same.
Oklahoma State opens the 2015 season with a visit to Mt. Pleasant, where the team will play Central Michigan at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on September 3.
