With a subpar outing during the 2014-15 season, the Syracuse men’s basketball team had a lackluster, if not incredibly forgettable year. Partially attributing to the 18-13 season was the program’s self-imposed, post-season ban in response to ongoing NCAA investigations into past infractions by the team.
This is the third season that Syracuse has finished with fewer than 20 wins under head coach, Jim Boeheim. And for some reason, Orange fans still loyally bled orange, turning out in huge numbers during the season, almost beating out top tier Kentucky for the lead in national average attendance.
Kentucky, it should be noted, had the advantage anyway with 19 home games compared to Syracuse’s 18.

The amount of people present at these venues is extremely high, as Syracuse’s Carrier Dome alone can allow for games exceeding 35,000 fans. Kentucky’s Rupp Arena consistently fills out its 23,500 person capacity.
The teams should be happy that their fan bases are this extensive, and fans should be happy they are so massive in number.
Cheers to the future 2015-16 season!
