Class of 2016 four-star shooting guard Kameron McGusty, out of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, near Houston, has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. McGusty made the announcement on his personal Twitter page with a huge photo of the Sooners’ logo.

Standing 6-foot-5, 165 pounds, McGusty will immediately fill the void left by the graduations of Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins. He also drew interest from a great number of schools including Indiana, Florida, Louisville, Texas, VCU and many others. Teamed with four-star wing Kristian Doolittle, the Sooners should once again bit a strong NCAA Tournament contender as well as in the Big 12.
The Sooners have become tourney regulars under Kruger, going 82-49 (40-32 Big 12) in four seasons.
Last season, Oklahoma made the big dance for the third consecutive season, drawing a No. 3 seed and getting as far as the Sweet Sixteen, where the team fell to Michigan State.
With McGusty expected to be an immediate contributor in the 2016-17 season, look for Oklahoma’s success to continue.
