The LSU Tigers were able to get an early commitment from 2017 five-star linebacker Dylan Moses a couple years ago, and thought they had him locked up.
Unfortunately, that is not the case and Moses has decided to de-commit from the Tigers to consider all of his options. He posted a long note about why he decided to make this decision, and how tough it was for him to make it as well.
This is a once in a lifetime deal and I wanna live this process up to the fullest. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/rgQ19YTORi

This sets up what is expected to be absolute chaos in the recruiting war to get him signed. He is going to have quite a few schools putting on a full-court press on him immediately, and LSU will likely continue to do whatever they can to get him to commit permanently.
At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Moses is a sure tackler and has the potential to turn into an absolute defensive star. He is the type of player that teams can build an entire defense around, and has loads of NFL talent.
LSU would have been a very nice fit for him, and he could have been the next anchor of one of their hard-nosed and ultra talented defensive squads.
More than likely, Moses will be receiving scholarship offers from every major school across the country. He is right that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and there is nothing wrong with taking a step back to look at everything one final time. If he ends up signing his letter of intent elsewhere, however, then the LSU fan base will let him have it.
All of that being said, it is going to be very intriguing to watch this process unfold. He has quite a bit of time to make his decision, but schools are going to be pushing him hard for a commitment.
It isn’t every day that a player with the talent that Moses possesses drops into the recruiting pool, and it won’t take long before interest begins getting reported from many schools.
