After a disappointing defeat to FCS opponent North Dakota State this past Saturday, the start of the Iowa State Cyclones 2014 season just got even bleaker.
Head coach Paul Rhoads announced Monday that starting wide receiver Quenton Bundrage will miss the rest of the season due to an ACL tear he suffered in the loss to the Bison.
Bundrage was the Cyclones’ best receiver and was primed to have a great 2014 campaign. He was their leading receiver in 2013 (48 catches, 676 yards) and was third in the Big-12 with nine touchdown receptions.
Rhoads is expecting transfer D’Vario Montgomery and freshman Allen Lazard to step up in place of Bundrage. The Cyclones will have their hands full this weekend as they take on the Kansas State Wildcats.
