One of the proudest traditions in college football is the awarding of “Blackshirts” to the starting members of the Nebraska Cornhuskers defensive unit. This week, players received their black practice jerseys and the moment was captured in an incredible video.
As you would expect, there were some very emotional reactions from the players who received their jerseys.
There was everything from smiles to high fives to tears of joy. The video, shared by Cornhuskers head coach Mike Riley on Twitter, is very powerful and something special to see.
