The Alabama Crimson Tide capped off their season with a 45-40 win over the Clemson Tigers in the national championship on Monday night at University of Phoenix Stadium.
As a result of the victory, the No. 2 Crimson Tide leapfrogged the previously top-ranked Tigers to become the top team in the nation in the final AP poll of the season.
Clemson fell to No. 2, while Stanford, Ohio State and Oklahoma rounded out the top five.
