Petal high school (Petal, Mississippi) offensive lineman Javon Patterson (6’2, 311) is a hot commodity in the recruiting world.
Patterson had named his top five favorite schools that include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss but there are two that are standing out as of now.
Rivals.com recruiting analyst Jason Howell spoke to Patterson about his favorites.
“Auburn and Ole Miss are still in the top of the top five coming behind with Mississippi State, Florida, and Alabama,” Patterson said.
“They’re the ones that are really on me the hardest and stuff like that,”
Patterson recently visited the Florida Gators and came away impressed with what they had to offer.
“I had a great visit,” Patterson said. “I had a great time to sit down with coach Summers and talk a little football with him and see where I would fit in. I talked with coach Muschamp and got a great feel for the campus. It’s a nice feel down there.”
He plans on setting up all five of his official visits to the schools mentioned above, but no set dates have been determined.
Patterson is planning on making his decision as early as November after taking his official visits. According to Rivals.com, he is ranked as the No. 4 overall offensive lineman and No. 88 overall prospect in the 2015 class.
