The injury bug continues to nag the Baylor Bears football team as starting wide receiver Levi Norwood will now miss three weeks after undergoing wrist surgery. Norwood got hurt during Saturday’s win over SMU and the injury noticeably affected the way Norwood caught the football. The loss of Norwood could drastically impact quarterback Bryce Petty who missed practice this week due to an injured back, and will now return to an offense that lacks one of his top targets.
A season ago, the junior wide out caught 47 passes for 733 yards and was one of many weapons the high-powered Bears offense utilized during the team’s 11-2 season a year ago. In the coming weeks however, Baylor does have a relatively easy schedule and head coach Art Briles should be able to swallow the loss of Norwood as well as fellow wide receiver Antwan Goodley
