Jawun Evans Commits to Oklahoma State

The no. 36 recruit according to ESPN Top 100, Jawun Evans, has decided to stay in his home state and attend Oklahoma State.  Evans chose the Cowboys over USC and Illinois in what was a highly contested recruiting battle.

“Oklahoma State was the right fit for me, ” Evans said. “Coach Ford was a point guard, and I feel I can learn under him. I really liked their drills. They are intense, and they will get me better.”

Jones, whose style fits perfectly, is an absolute steal for the Cowboys and will be an immediate contributor.

Evans has all the necessary skills to be an elite point guard and utilizes exceptions quickness while maintaining control of the ball keeping his eyes open for fellow teammates.  As defenses attempt to play the passing lanes, Evans can beat his defender and score at will.  On top of all this, he is a hardworking defender that knows how to contribute in almost any defensive scheme.
