Jim McElwain will not place restrictions on transfers

Adjusting to a new Coach and his staff, new direction, and a new system can be extremely difficult.

New Florida head coach Jim Mac has stated that he will not put any restrictions on players if they would like to transfer.

“I’ll help them do whatever,” McElwain said at a Jacksonville Gator Club event yesterday. “In case you haven’t figured it out, I’m a pretty open book. If they don’t want to be here, I don’t want to keep them here. It’s totally up to them.

“We have a lot of great things here and a lot of great things are going to happen. So, it’s an exciting time to be a Gator.”

Florida was able to finish with a strong 2015 Class, and is off to another great start.

Not being afraid to lose players to transfer shows the confidence Coach Mac has in the fact that he will be able to rebuild the University of Florida program to what it once was.

Look for a few players to transfer, but not anyone too significant.
