Rams Looking to Trade Up For Amari Cooper?

The St. Louis Rams currently hold the tenth overall pick tonight, and GM Les Snead could be looking to move up for a big name. According to Bleacher Report’s Dan Pompei, Snead could have his eyes on Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Cooper is projected as a Top 5 pick, so moving up in the draft to select him would certainly cost the Rams a pretty penny, likely their pick this year as well as future selections.

The team is in dire need of a top wide receiver, as Stedman Bailey and Kenny Britt are far from No. 1 options at the position and Brian Quick is working his way back from major shoulder surgery.

On top of that, 2013 first rounder Tavon Austin has shaped up to be a Grade A draft bust.

As of now, ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Todd McShay have Cooper being selected by either the Jacksonville Jaguars or Oakland Raiders, both of whom are incredibly needy at the wide receiver position.

Neither team has suggested a willingness to trade down as of yet, but anything goes on Draft Day. For the right price, anything could be available.
