La’el Collins Passes Polygraph, Paternity Test Negative

At this point, it is looking likely that the story of La’el Collins has not come to an end just yet.

You may recall that Collins went from a lock for the first round to undrafted after being asked to come in for questioning by Louisiana police following the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, 29-year-old Britney Mills.

Efforts to save the child were unsuccessful.

While he was never named as a suspect by the police, it was enough to scare of all 32 NFL teams from using a draft pick on him.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Collins has passed a polygraph test issued by an independent investigator in regards to the case and a paternity test on Collins came back negative.

As if Collins wasn’t busy already, as he has met with Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan and his agent has been flooded with calls since the draft ended, he is going to be a hot commodity around the league as teams try to cash in on getting two years of paying league minimum for a first round talent.
