Former Tennessee men’s basketball coach Donnie Tyndall can now add a job to his CV that is both shorter and more bizarre than his tenure at UT.
The ex-Vols coach made his professional wrestling debut on Saturday — then promptly “retired” right after his lone victory.

The reports from earlier this week that Tyndall would be managing the Heavenly Bodies in the main event of the Global Force Wrestling’s Grand Slam Tour stop in Tennessee was weird enough. Going from a UT coaching gig to a one-night-stint in the wrestling biz is a move that begs a lot of questions.
But bowing out after just one night makes you wonder if Tyndall was at the wrong end of a bet — or maybe just losing his marbles.
Tyndall was fired from Tennessee back in March after an NCAA probe revealed that he had committed “financial and academic violations” during his previous coaching tenure at Southern Miss.
In May, realtor.com reported details about Tyndall’s European-style mansion in Tennessee going on the housing market.
His wrestling career might have only lasted a couple hours, but we probably aren’t done hearing about Tyndall’s shenanigans.
