One of the most highly anticipated fights in recent mixed martial arts memory is set for July 11 in Las Vegas, when UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo defends his title against Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 189.
There has been plenty of hype and buildup to the fight, but now it may be in jeopardy.
According to a report from Ana Hissa of SporTV e do Canal Combate, Aldo suffered an injury during training this week. After examining the damage, it was confirmed that Aldo had a fractured rib.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
The UFC has been spending plenty of marketing dollars for this fight and International Fight Week has been centered around it’s appeal.
Will Jose Aldo make the walk to the cage on July 11? Only time will tell.
