76ers select Jahlil Okafor No. 3 overall

As the 2015 NBA Draft rolled on, the Philadelphia 76ers were on the clock with the No. 3 overall pick.

Speculation leading up to the draft linked the 76ers to D’Angelo Russell and Kristaps Porzingis. However, that all changed when the Los Angeles Lakers went with the Ohio State guard No. 2 overall rather than selecting Duke standount Jahlil Okafor.

As a result, Okafor went No. 3 overall to Philadelphia and the 76ers were happy to have him fall into their laps.

With Joel Embiid and Nerlens Noel already in the City of Brotherly Love, could Okafor simply be a trade chip? It doesn’t appear so, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski.
