Four-star running back prospect B.J. Emmons has made Nick Saban’s day by committing to the Crimson Tide, according to BamaOnline. The 5-foot-10, 232-pounder, a one-time Georgia commit, is rated as the number four running back and number 108 overall prospect by 247Sports.
Emmons’ head coach Brandon Allen told BamaOnline, “He had another visit down to Alabama. Through that process he had another opportunity to meet with the coaches and players. They had a small camp during that period (of) time, and I know the coaches down there were extremely high on B.J. and the skill set he brings to the table.” Allen went on to say, “This was a visit he and his family had together, and I think that with everybody involved together as family, they believed that was going to be the best fit for B.J. He really likes the coaching staff and players so he wanted to go ahead and make that commitment.”
Emmons, who was also considering Tennessee, is the first RB commit for 2016.
