Alabama basketball to play Oregon in Legacy Arena

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team will be taking on the Oregon Ducks twice during the 2015-2016 season, once in Eugene, Oregon and the other in the Legacy Arena.

Head coach Avery Johnson announced that they will be playing the Ducks in Birmingham on Monday, December 21.

The game will be presented by Knight-Eady Sports Group, and will be included in the regular season ticket package.

Alabama finished last year with a 19-15 record. Oregon finished 26-10 last year, was number 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament, before losing to Wisconsin in the third round.

This season will mark only the third and fourth time that Alabama and Oregon will have faced each other in men’s basketball.

“We are looking forward to playing a quality team such as Oregon, but we are even more thrilled for the opportunity to play in front of our fans in Birmingham at Legacy Arena. This is something that will be exciting for the University of Alabama fan base, our players and our staff,” Johnson said of the match up and location.
