Georgia’s Mark Richt shares plan for quarterbacks

The Georgia Bulldogs, just like some other football teams going into fall camp, are trying to name their starting quarterback. Right now, Brice Ramsey, Faton Bauta and Greyson Lambert are all in the mix for the job.

They could be fighting for the position it seems all the way to the first game. Today, head coach Mark Richt shared their team’s plan to decide.

Georgia will rotate the three during camp and they say it could go until the team’s first game, Sep. 5.

Redshirt sophomore Ramsey played in eight games last season going 24-for-39 with 333 yards and three touchdowns. Lambert, a junior, transferred to Georgia from Virginia where he was a team captain and started in nine games. Baut, also a junior, has the least experience out of the three, playing in just three games last season with 4-for-5 passing and 48 yards.

Whoever proves themselves out of the three will get the starting job come Sep. 5 when the Bulldogs take on UL Monroe.
