Baylor’s Shawn Oakman has a python and wants an octopus

Baylor Bears defensive end Shawn Oakman may just be one of the most interesting men in all of college football. In a profile for ESPN The Magazine –– along with teammate LaQuan McGowan, who combines with Oakman to create a 13-foot tall and 680 pound presence for the Bears — Oakman’s love for exotic pets was revealed.

Oakman apparently has a pet bulldog that he loves to walk around town, but he does so with a unique twist.

According to the report, Oakman walks around with his pet python around his shoulders while walking his dog. Yes, the 6-foot-9, 280-pound Oakman walks around with a pet bulldog and python on his shoulders. That has to be quite the sight to see.

“[Oakman]’s been known to walk his bulldogs Dame, Daisy and Duke around town while his pet python, Baloo, rests on his shoulders,” the story reads.

That isn’t all.

Oakman’s love for animals leads him to want another interesting pet that would require a massive tank.

“I want an octopus,” Oakman said. “I want it all.”

If Oakman can impress this season, he has a very good chance at becoming a first-round pick so he could earn a big money contract that would allow him to buy all of the exotic animals his heart could possibly desire.
