The sports journalism world is full of writers who attempt to predict some of the biggest news before it actually happens. Popular college football rumor site Football Scoop recently released an article titled, “Biggest Coaching Surprises in 2015”.
In that article, Scott Roussel states that he thinks Nick Saban will not be the Alabama’s head coach for the 2016 season.
Check out his explanation below.
“I can’t support it by reportable facts, and of course there is no pressure from the administration; but from folks in the profession, I keep hearing ‘Nick isn’t happy,’ ‘Nick seems miserable,’ ‘Nick is very frustrated,’ and I can foresee the very real possibility that Nick pulls the rip cord and ejects from Tuscaloosa after this season,” Roussel wrote.
“Where that parachute will land, well, that has to play out, but I don’t suspect T-Town will be Nick’s final coaching stop.”
This is pure speculation at this moment in time, but it still makes for an interesting topic of conversation.
Saban seems to be growing more and more frustrated with college football in its entirety. Before Charlie Strong took the Texas job, there were reports that Saban was heading to Austin. You can almost guarantee that riots would break out in Tuscaloosa if they lost their head coach.
Alabama will open the season against Wisconsin on Sept. 5. Will this be Saban’s last year? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
