Video: Georgia blocks punt for a safety and 37-14 lead

The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the more intriguing teams in the SEC and had quite a few question marks heading into today’s season opener against Louisiana Monroe. They have done quite a bit to answer those questions on both sides of the football.

Early on in the game the Bulldogs were able to get out to an early lead before lightning caused an extended break in the action.

Coming out of the break, Georgia’s defense came up with a stop on third down and proceeded to block a punt out the back of the end zone for a safety. The play extended their lead to 37-14 and was their second blocked punt of the game. Special teams is one of the most underrated aspects of a football game and the Bulldogs certainly have dominated that area of the game.
