The Oklahoma Sooners and the SEC hardly have anything cordial to say about their relationship, including Sooners linebacker Eric Striker calling out the Southeastern Conference a day before a match-up against Tennessee AT Neyland Stadium.
In a game dominated by the Volunteers well into the fourth quarter, the Sooners eventually found their mojo and struck back with the help of Texas Tech transfer Baker Mayfield, who confided in his senior wide receiver Sterling Shepard on the final drive in double-overtime to launch the Sooners into victory.
While many Tennessee fans were frozen in thought at what their team just did, Sooners players decided to taunt the home crowd – taunts that involved flipping the bird and Eric Striker’s recruiting method of telling “Tennessee to bring your recruits to OU.”
In a post-game interview, Striker told reporters that Tennessee’s head coach, Butch Jones, approached the upperclassman and advised Striker “to have some d*** class.”

While it’s certainly a bitter rivalry between Oklahoma and Tennessee, the Sooners comeback win proved more than so – maybe helping their chances of regaining a lead in Big 12 supremacy…?
