Bob Stoops fires back at Paul Finebaum

After his Oklahoma Sooners came back to beat Tennessee in double-overtime on Saturday, coach Bob Stoops did not mince words regarding radio host and longtime SEC advocate Paul Finebaum, who called the longtime OU coach “irrelevant” prior to the game.

Even better is that it wasn’t until today’s press conference that Stoops chose to unleash the fury, and it was reported on Twitter by Guerin Emig of the Tulsa World.

Well, that should shut Finebaum up, and rightfully so. Oklahoma rallied back from a 17-0 deficit to win 31-24, and proved that it can hang with the ever-competitive SEC.

Next on the Sooners’ docket are the AAC’s Tulsa Golden Hurricane, who pay a visit to Norman on Saturday.
