7-foot-tall, 440 pound lineman towers over opponents

Offensive linemen are usually big, but one in particular has raised the bar. That man is John Krahn, who stands seven feet tall and weights 440 pounds and currently plays at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California.

Video of Krahn can be seen here, and what he can do is eye-popping. He’s currently trying to lose weight to improve his footwork, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that his height alone will give him a grand advantage.

Just where Krahn will end up on the collegiate level remains to be seen, but the fact that teams haven’t been jumping to sign him on size alone seems a bit odd. Protection up front is key for any offense, so why not look to have an anchor of Krahn’s size running the show on the offensive line? Sure, his weight and footwork are a concern, but if he can play, then why not?

Either way, his story is a great one.
