Photo: Leonard Fournette posts tribute to Syracuse legends

The LSU Tigers are lucky to have star running back Leonard Fournette this season and he could very well end up being the Heisman Trophy award winner this year. He has been impressive throughout the first three weeks of the season, but he has remained humble and is continuing to work hard on his game.

Fournette showed the respect that he has for the game of football by paying tribute via a photo on Twitter to some of the great Syracuse running backs. He singled out Ernie Davis, Jim Brown and Floyd Little. That type of respect for the history of the game and the players who shaped his position shows exactly why Fournette is such a dominant player and why he’ll continue growing and becoming something special.

It isn’t very often that young players show this kind of respect to the great players that have come before them.

LSU will take on Syracuse this Saturday at 12:00 pm Eastern and Fournette will likely see a very heavy workload for the Tigers’ offense once again.
