Just a day after an extremely disappointing season came to an end in South Beach, the Miami Dolphins have found their guy to lead the team as the General Manager.
The team has announced that Chris Grier has been hired as the new GM of the Dolphins going forward.
Grier had previously been the team’s director of college scouting. He takes over for Dennis Hickey who was fired on Saturday.
Grier’s first task as GM is going to be to find the next head coach of the Dolphins after Joe Philbin was fired earlier this year. Dan Campbell has been the interim coach, and is expected to be considered for the permanent position as the process moves forward.
The Dolphins spent a lot of money last offseason, mostly on Ndamukong Suh, in order to attempt to finally catch the Patriots in the AFC East. Unfortunately, the team finished in last place in the division, a spot all-too-familiar for the franchise lately.
