Ronda Rousey to host Saturday Night Live

MMA star and former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on January 23, according to SNL’s official Twitter.

This should certainly be an entertaining episode, as Rousey has already treaded the waters of entertainment outside the world of MMA. She has appeared in films such as The Expendables 3Furious 7Entourage and is scheduled to appear in a remake of the Patrick Swayze classic Road House.

That said, the world of sketch comedy is definitely outside of Rousey’s comfort zone, but the good news is that SNL’s current cast and writing staff are strong enough that they’ll play to her strengths in the week leading up to the show and, knock on wood, make her episode memorable.
