Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and former USC coach Steve Sarkisian definitely have a history together, having both served under longtime Trojans coach Pete Carroll, which would explain why Sarkisian allegedly texted Kiffin during halftime of the Cotton Bowl, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.
Lane Kiffin said Steve Sarkisian texted him some plays to run at halftime of Michigan State game. Kiffin wouldn’t say if he used them or not

Given how strong an offensive mind Sarkisian is, how well quarterback Jake Coker played and the undeniable fact that Alabama won 38-0, perhaps there is some Sarkisian magic mixed into the Tide’s offense. The team scored 28 second half points, so could Kiffin really be responsible for all of that himself?
Either way, one can only wonder if Sark will do the same for Monday’s championship game against Clemson.
