Big time college coaches can have friends right?
Apparently so as Nick Saban’s good friend Chip Kelly met with Saban and his staff while visiting Tuscaloosa earlier this week, as initially reported by ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.
On Saturday, at media day for the National Championship game, Saban confirmed the meeting although he said that it had nothing to do with the upcoming game.
Saban elaborated a little saying Kelly’s a close friend who was in town and the meeting was of no real “significance” for the national title game.
On Chip Kelly visiting, Nick Saban said they're good friends. Said Chip was in the area & stopped by. Said it has nothing to do w/ this game
