Call it the ultimate upgrade. Bowling Green wide receiver Gehrig Dieter, whose 1,000-yard season surely caught Alabama’s eye, is heading to Tuscaloosa via graduate transfer and available right away.
‘Bama announced the move on their Twitter account Saturday afternoon.

With Calvin Ridley emerging as one of the top threats in the SEC, it seems the Crimson Tide have yet another weapon for opposing teams to account for, as the 6-foot-3 Dieter caught 94 balls for 1033 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. However their is a potential obstacle, as Alabama will be Dieter’s third four-year football program, which requires an NCAA waiver to be eligible.

Things aren’t so rosy for Bowling Green, who in addition to Dieter, lost very successful head coach Dino Babers to Syracuse, where he took the same role.
