Cincinnati Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron is one of the most beloved quarterbacks in the long and storied history of the Alabama Crimson Tide, so it’s only right that he give a little back to the school in some way, shape or form. In this case, McCarron tossed the pigskin around with Alabama 2017 commit Jake Fromm as well as 2018 target Jack West over the weekend.
Of course, a clearly excited Fromm posted a picture of himself and West with McCarron to his Twitter.
McCarron won two national championships with Alabama in 2011 and 2012 and threw for 9,019 yards and 77 touchdowns while completing 66.9 percent of his passes. He threw just 15 interceptions.
Just how much of an effect McCarron’s time with these recruits had on the young duo is unknown, but Fromm’s excited tweet says it all. Alabama football is a family, and McCarron did a great job of being a part of it despite his status as an NFL quarterback.
