Thursday, Oklahoma baseball teased on Twitter that Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield would be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for the baseball program’s home opener against Northeastern. Turns out Mayfield did take the hill for the first pitch, and even threw it the whole 60-feet 6-inches.
As you may have predicted, Mayfield did have some zip on the ball, and OU Daily writer Spenser Davis got it on record:
